Rack Repair Specialists

Our Racking Safety Awareness Training course will enable your own personnel to undertake regular in-house damage inspections, as advised by the HSE in the document HSG 76 and stated in The PUWER Regulations (Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998) and EN 15635 – The Application and Maintenance of Storage Equipment. Please note that these regular in-house damage inspections do not replace the need for an ‘expert’ inspection to be undertaken by a competent external provider, at least once in any twelve month period.

What is a rack safety awareness course?

Taking place at your premises, one of our NVQ-qualified and independently certified racking inspectors will train up to six members of your staff in the following:
  • The need for racking inspections
  • Types of racking and identification of the various components
  • Structural awareness
  • The responsibilities of the supplier and the user
  • Types of inspection, record keeping and actioning the findings
  • Inspection equipment
  • Damage classification
This will be followed by a practical assessment in your warehouse, putting the theory of what we have learned during the earlier part of the day into practice.
